Compliance is not just the blue paint. It is how many accessible stalls your total stall count requires, how wide the access aisle beside them is, whether one of them is van accessible, where the signs sit and how high they mount, the slope of the stall and the aisle, and whether somebody can get from that stall to your front door without leaving the accessible route.
Most lots that fail do not fail on the stall. They fail on the aisle, the sign height, or the route to the door. Those are the three the crew checks first.

Questions
- How many accessible stalls does my lot need?
- Your total stall count decides it, not your square footage. A lot up to 25 stalls needs one accessible space. At 26 it needs two, at 51 three, at 76 four, and it keeps stepping up from there. One of every six accessible spaces, or any fraction of six, has to be van accessible, so eight accessible spaces means two of them are van. Count each parking facility on its own rather than adding two separate lots on one site together. The full table is below.
- Can you tell me if my lot is out of compliance before I commit to anything?
- Yes, and that is the usual way it starts. Devin walks it, tells you what is out and what it takes to fix, and you decide from there. There is no charge for being told your lot is fine.
Who this is for
Or put it in writing
For the lot you are looking at right now. Address and rough stall count help, but a name and a number is enough to start.
